How much does a wedding makeup artist cost in Perth?
In Perth, a wedding makeup artist typically costs around $150–$300 for the bride, with bridesmaids and wedding-party makeup charged per person. My own bridal makeup starts from $150 for the bride and from $150 per person for the rest of your party, plus a travel fee that depends on where you’re getting ready. Here’s what actually moves that number up or down.
What you’ll pay in Perth, at a glance
Most of the cost comes down to who’s in the chair and how far I’m travelling. As a rough guide:
| What you’re booking | Indicative price |
|---|---|
| Bride | from $150 |
| Bridesmaid / wedding party | from $150 per person |
| Mother of the bride / groom | from $150 per person |
| Bridal trial | included in bridal pricing |
| Travel | quoted on enquiry |
So a bride with three bridesmaids usually lands somewhere around $540 plus travel — but the right number is always the one I quote you once I know your date, party size and getting-ready location.
What affects the price
A few things genuinely change the cost, and a few things people worry about that don’t:
- Party size — every extra face (bridesmaids, mums, flower girls old enough) is an added per-person charge from $150.
- Travel — I’m a fully mobile artist and come to you, so distance matters. A morning in Fremantle is different to a winery wedding out in the Swan Valley or down in Margaret River.
- Trial — I include a trial in my bridal pricing, but extra trials (say, if your hens and wedding looks differ) can add a little.
- Timing & logistics — very early starts, multiple getting-ready locations, or a large party that needs a second artist can affect the final quote.
What doesn’t secretly inflate the price: lashes (included), premium long-wear products, or touch-up advice. They’re part of the service.
Why mobile makeup is priced the way it is
Because I travel to you, what looks like a per-face price is really buying you a calm morning at home, no salon dash in your gown, and an artist focused on one wedding that day. I only take one wedding daily, so your timeline is built around you — not squeezed between other bookings. That’s the quiet value that doesn’t show up on a price list.
How to get an accurate quote
Honestly, the fastest way to know your real cost is to ask. When you enquire, tell me:
- Your wedding date and getting-ready suburb or venue.
- How many people need makeup, including yourself.
- Whether you’d like a trial (I recommend it).
I’ll come back with a clear, all-in quote — bride, party and travel — so there are no surprises. With 10+ years behind the chair and training through Lancôme, YSL, Giorgio Armani and Mecca, my job is to make the money part feel as easy as the morning itself.
